Do you like to plan for the future; big plans? Plans that some would consider daydreams?
Proverbs 19:21
Many are the plans in a man’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails
Lately I don’t have any big daydreams, but am just getting through each day’s chores, tasks and obligations. Not that some of these aren’t fulfilling; they are. But I feel like I am in a rut of routine. However, I am one of those people who likes and finds comfort in routine. It makes me uncomfortable, more because I fear I might be missing something God has planned for me, than anything else. So my prayer today is about finding our purpose and the dreams God wants us to act on.
Heavenly Father - I ask You today to reveal to us Your desires and dreams for us. Help us to discern Your voice and heed Your guidance. If, no when, we stumble, help us to listen even more intently to Your words and not be discouraged or afraid.
We know that You intend all things for the good of those who love You.
We know that Your plans for us exceed anything we can dream.
We pray that through our belief in You, we would be able to feel the satisfaction of accomplishing everything You have asked of us so that when our days on Earth are complete, we will hear You call us good and faithful servants. In Jesus’ name we pray.
Routine has kept me at times from stepping out too. I think it gives comfort. MAybe we simply need those times to feel like there is some continuity in a world that is so out of control…but God doesn’t want us to get too comfortable. His plans might take us racing off I to the unknown, but He knows. And I have never regretted one moment…

Thanks so much for your prayer, Claudia. Exactly what I needed this morning. I know that feeling of being in a “rut of routine.”
