John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Think about it…how AMAZING is it that we celebrate, every year, the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior?! The world does not celebrate any one else’s birthday like we do His at Christmas. So many believe. I do! I pray you do too.
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem. Matthew 2:1
So Believe with all your heart, mind and soul!
Every year I have this tradition. I love to begin and end my Christmas season with Christ. The very first decoration I put up and last I take down is my prized possession-my Nativity set. Somehow I feel that it shows honor to our Savior for what He has done for us and it also reminds me of what “The reason for the Season” is all about. It puts things in perspective for me.
Another way I like to honor Christ is to become a servant of others. It can be as simple as letting someone go before you at the grocery store, or to help out at a local church or food bank. We have a giving tree tradition at our church in which we give presents to those who are less fortunate.
So as we go through the next few weeks 3-1/2 to be exact from Thanksgiving. Keep in mind the reason for the season and do not get caught up in the stressful commercialized Christmas that so many people are fond of. Begin and end with Him
God Bless you all this Holiday Season!
