Barb and her two little friend in Tizimin, Mexico

Have you ever felt like God is calling you to a particular area but the doors haven’t opened yet? Perhaps you’ve been discouraged that some of your dreams would never come to pass? Maybe you’ve felt like giving up?

I know that experience. During those times, I decided that if I couldn’t go, I would do everything possible to assist someone else with their hope and their dream.

I call this a “Heart-Checkup”!

If I was willing, God could teach me many things…..

  • I don’t have to kick the door down or work so hard.
  • I can always choose to help others right where I am.
  • He is the only one who can successfully do this work.
  • I can always have His presence with me wherever I go, whatever I do!

During that time of waiting, I have learned that I am a person who needs Christ more than ever. He alone is holy and the whole earth is full of His glory. But oh– how I need a Savior! Not just when I made the decision to accept Christ, but every day, every moment that I breathe.

Can you guess where I am going next?

Like Isaiah the prophet, I know that I am a person of unclean lips. I am undone. I know I can do nothing without Him. But I know my eyes have seen the King!  He has changed me.

And like that day many years ago when I said, “yes” to God, I still cry out, “Lord, send me!”

Last year, I had the opportunity to go on my first mission trip to Tizimin, Mexico. It was a wonderful trip, but there is more in my heart.  I am returning to Mexico, but I am also stepping out to fulfill a key part of that long awaited dream.

Would you consider helping me? I have some special gifts for my supporters.  To find out where I am going next and how you can help, please click here.

  1. Ah, sweet girl, I am in that I between place now. Nothing makes sense and I feel like I’m living someone else’s life. Thank you for the encouragement to do what I can for someone else’s dream, right where I am. I am thrilled to read all about your new adventure! Hugs and well wishes!
