Psalms 145:4

Psalms 145:4 One generation shall laud your works to another,
and shall declare your mighty acts.

How proud I am of my youngest niece and her precious daughter.
And what a Blessing it is to be given the privilege of make a positive impression on delicate lives new and other wise.

I recall the many times someone has taken the time both in meaning to do so and without even realizing they were doing so.
Such as a teacher when I was in the fifth grade who allowed us to have a special spelling group in which we were allowed to choose words we were not sure of and wanted to learn to spell.
Or the teacher in Math that used the spelling of my last name when he made a calendar for his classroom bulletin board and also put my first name on it so everyone in the school was stopping me in the halls to ask me what it was about?
I did not understand his wisdom in doing so in those days. Being and introvert I was not too happy with my Math teacher that year as I considered it drawing much too much attention to myself.

In reflecting back on such experiences and times in my life I am able to realize the many personal ways God brings situations and circumstances in our lives that cause us to have to flex and stretch so we can grow into the persons God Himself created us to become.

Psalm 145:2-7
2 Every day I will bless you,
and praise your name for ever and ever.
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
his greatness is unsearchable.
4 One generation shall laud your works to another,
and shall declare your mighty acts.
5 On the glorious splendor of your majesty,
and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.
6 The might of your awesome deeds shall be proclaimed,
and I will declare your greatness.
7 They shall celebrate the fame of your abundant goodness,
and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.

  1. Growth for me has been a one day, one step at a time venture. Sure there have been specific incidents that caused notable growth spurts, but I have discovered that the true deep down growing happens each day as I step in faith, trust His promises, and rely on His guiding light. I find that it is the patterns that I trace each day, over and over that create the grooves reflecting His perfect grace and presence in my life. I often stop in awe and wonder at the works He has been doing in me, that I hadn’t even realized till that moment. The hindsight occurances are most prevalent to me…and I am thankful for every one of them🙂 thanks Marie, for encouraging us to ponder

    • I need to ask forgiveness to all of you precious lovely people who have taken the time to read and comment. I was not feeling well last week but there was also an incident at the library where I do my Online computer work and a very bad accident in my travels that had our main road closed for about 8 hours again I ask forgiveness in not responding promptly to your comments that are a such a Blessing!
Oh Lisa even though I am sometimes so guilty of trying to fast forward. I realize it is one day at a time that our growth takes place, then we reflect back and suddenly notice where we are say to compared a year ago?!
Thank You Lord Jesus, for Blessing my sister in You Lisa with leaving me this gift of a gracious comment and allowing her to have hindsight, encouragement, growth and the time to reflect as You shower our words here at A Beautiful Life with the grace of Your Love through the gift of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Love You Lisa Hugs from your sister in Christ!!!

  2. I’m grateful I have had many godly people in my life who have prayed for me, encouraged me, and even rebuked me when I needed it. Growth is often painful and we need to support one another, building each other up.

Ruth being grateful is in and of itself a gift! Thank You Lord Jesus for giving Ruth the gifts of gratefulness and godly people in her life even when it was necessary for her to be rebuked. Thank You also Lord for helping Ruth to understand that even when we resist it sometimes we grow the most at times of pain. Thank You for your comment Ruth and be Blessed in our God of growth!

  3. Great article, Marie! One of my most challenging times of growth was when I joined the Army and had to go through basic training. I learned so much about myself, teamwork, dedication, loyalty, and strength during that time. Lessons that, at the time, felt overwhelming and painful, have served me well and will continue to for the rest of my life. And I praise God for supporting me through the entire experience!

  6. God is constantly giving me growth opportunities. I am blessed to be an 11 years breast cancer survivor and that is definitely a growth opportunity. Through that experience, I have been able to help others going through a similar diagnosis and treatment. God is so good.

  7. I often think back over my own experience and situations I’ve encountered where God has stretched and molded me. So many didn’t make sense at that time but hindsight can be a beautiful thing. I’m interested to know if you figured out the math teacher’s purpose.🙂

  8. God has taken us through life according to Luke chapters 9 and 10 and we have travelled all over Europe relying on God’s love and provision and He has never let us down. We as Christians need to take God at His word Follow and do what Jesus told us to do!
Luke 10:3-20 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,
Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you. And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell. He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

  9. What you are on the in side, the LORD works on to see you be come like HIM. How you live your life is what they will be. When you pray for them are you living the same way you are living? What a person is what they will be. If you love them in the bad time of there life, and help them, the day will come that they will be like you in there ways.

  10. Life is not only a physical journey of growing and maturing, but a mental and a spiritual one, too. Each person from the time I was small and entered school, through two graduate schools to all the wonderful people I meet on FB, Twitter, etc., have all been a great blessing to me in some way.

  11. Christ has provided me with so many opportunities for growth: being laid off, taking with bus to work and having 45 minutes to pray and mediate, driving to work and going to morning Mass, …

In some sense, they are surprises he gives, but in another sense maybe I’m asking him to help me grow. First, he invites me, then I respond by asking for help, then he helps me, then I thank him.

  13. Thinking of my Mother today:
“When a daughter loses a mother, the intervals between responses to grief lengthen over time, but the longing never disappears. It always hovers right at the edge of awareness, prepared to surface at any time, in any place, and in the least expected ways. (I still cry often when I need to talk to you, Mom.)
I am fooling only myself when I say that my mother exists now only in the photographs on my wall or in my albums, or in the outline of my hand or in the armful of memories I still hold tight. She lives on in everything I say and do. Her presence influenced who I was and her absence now influences who I am.
There is an emptiness inside of me — a void that will never be filled. No one in my life will ever love me as my mother did. There is no love as pure, unconditional and strong as a mother’s love except God’s.
I truly believe that the death of my mother has made me the person I am today. I am my Mother’s daughter-a survivor, mentally strong, determined, strong willed, self-reliant, honest to a fault and very independent woman. But I also keep most of my pain and grief inside. I know God will help me to overcome in His timing…as my Mother would surely want it that way. I miss and love you dearly, Mom!”

  14. Auhhhhh the growth process. It’s everyday, every hour, and every minute that passes by we learn, we share, we conquer and we grow in Him. It’s been a tremendous process of growth for me this past year, as I have been through one of the most painful experiences of life. Divorce. 25 years with someone you love is hard to let go. It’s like a death, and the grieving process, growth process and the patience that one has to endure and consume, is life-changing.
Troubles and temptations, seem to escalate during a time like this (which is still ongoing) over a year now, I have developed & abounded in fervent prayer, relying solely on God to take the wheel. By doing so, I have seen Him work things out for my good, and in ways I am astonished at……now that I can look back. Going through tribulations is what we can bargain for, but the outcome is surely worth it all.

The due season is here for grateful praise, which is the true language of Holy joy. I have praised Him through the toughest storms, (even the lastest - Hurricane Matthew that was right on top of me last week.

I continue to speak of God’s wondrous work of redemption, while declaring His greatness through it all. Without Him, we are nothing. Christ enlightens our minds to a degree that is inexplicable and He alone, gives us the strength we need, right WHEN we need it most🙂 .

It may be truly said of our Lord Jesus Christ, that His words are words of goodness and grace; & His works are works of goodness and grace & so much mercy. He is full of compassion and I give Him Glory in the highest~!!

Thank you Marie for spreading His Word. Warm regards and warmer hugs to you and yours….♥with Love.♥
