sept 12Dear Vanessa,

Is there hope in pain?   Do rainbows really come after the rain?  I am scared, and have convinced myself I can’t take that next step.

Lost and broken

Dearest Lost and Broken,

Yes beautiful, there is hope in the pain, and rainbows are vibrant after the rain.  Sometimes, things happen in our life and they divert us, or may cause us much sorrow.  But remember my friend, the words that were given to us from our wonderful Maker….

“‘Yes, come,’ Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. ‘Save me, Lord!’ he shouted” (Matt. 14:29-30)

He saves us, He loves us more than we could ever understand, He lifts us up in the pain.   It is scary to take that first step forward.   But as we have the courage to move forward, we are looking ahead instead of behind.

Is someone close to you sick?

Have you endured loss of a love one?

Is your child making choices that you know deep down that are not good for them?

Have you lost your job and are not too sure of what the future holds?

Have you built walls and won’t let others in?

Do you feel broken, burdened and heavy?

Just know there is a place where you can feel the warmth of the light.

Proverbs 4:25-27, “Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.” (NLT)

There is sunshine after the rain my friend.

Believe, trust and know that He is in control.

He will lead you to the light.

Dear God,

We are broken and lost people.  Lead us Lord, open our eyes, and show us the truth.    Thank-you for being patient with us, and loving us the way you do.     Help us Lord to lead us to the light and to let go.  I pray for this in Jesus Name. Amen

Blessings to you beautiful,

  1. ah, sweet girl…there are days when I feel so broken. Humbly I crawl on my hands and knees to the beautiful feet of my Savior, and He rescues me. I love this reminder of His goodness. Thank you for all you are, and all you do in His name.
