The Big Easy Bourbon Balls

I learned how to make this recipe during a cooking class I took in New Orleans. This is a wonderful cookie recipe for a New Year’s Eve or cocktail party, as these really pack a punch. This non-bake, quick and ultra easy recipe is great for the busy holiday season!

The Big Easy Bourbon Balls

 

Diff: Very Easy     Prep: 5 min

Time: 15 min   Makes: 24-26

 

Ingredients

 

  • 1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs (not too fine)

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar

  • 2 Tbsp cocoa

  • 1 ½ tsp white corn syrup

  • 2 Jiggers (1 ½ oz. each) bourbon whiskey

 

Directions

 

  • Mix all ingredients in the order given above.

  • Oil your hands lightly, and, using a teaspoon to scoop up dough, shape into bite size balls.

  • Store in a covered plastic container or wrap with plastic wrap to keep fresh.

 

You might want to make multiples of this for your party, as they are quite delicious!
