God Whispers

feb god whispersHello My Friends!

I have a devotion running on “Beautifully Made” today about the way God speaks to us and listening with our spirit. God desires to talk to us and He accomplishes that in the times that we are quiet and are capable of listening. For some that would be in their bible study time, or the moments set aside for prayer in the morning.  For others with life chaos, their only quiet times of the day are when they are sleeping.  I know that that is often the case with me!  Life can get messy, and noisy; shutting out the whispers of God’s voice and direction.

May I encourage you to find some quiet quality time to spend with God in communion, even if it is only the first 5 minutes after you  wake in the morning. Fill those 5 minutes with thoughts of Him. Thoughts of you two walking hand in hand through your day. Envision it!

God + Me!

But if your day begins with a bang as mine often does,  try talking to Him for the last 5 minutes of the day.  Ask Him to fill your dreams with His thoughts for you, to give you visions of what He wants to reveal.  Ask - and you will receive.

But be ready!

Have a journal and pen next to your bed so that as soon as you wake, while the dreams are fresh in your mind, you can jot them down for later contemplation.

Make sure you describe them exactly using color and symbols or numbers that you might have seen.  It might not make sense to you right now, but in your contemplation of the dream later, God will reveal to you the meaning behind the different aspects of it.

Sometimes dreams are just dreams and are a continuation of the days happenings, but sometimes, especially when you ask, they can be a whisper from God.
